Mailbox keys are the homeowner’s responsibility.

Canada Post does not supply replacement keys or maintain the locks for our mailboxes. Owners who call Canada Post will be referred to the strata management company, and the strata will advise you to hire a locksmith. You can skip that loop by calling a locksmith directly.

If you still have a spare key
Any hardware store or locksmith can cut a copy. This is the least expensive option, so it is worth checking before you assume both keys are gone.

If both keys are lost
Hire a locksmith to replace the lock and supply new keys. The cost is the homeowner’s.
